Superior Chevrolet to provide Blue Valley Recreation with new equipment, monetary donation, instructional clinics; Additional funds via Chevy Vehicle Giveaway

Merriam (May 7, 2010) – Superior Chevrolet announced today it will be investing support in Merriam through a partnership with Blue Valley Recreation. Superior Chevrolet will provide baseball equipment, instructional clinics, a monetary donation, and an opportunity to raise an additional $10,000 in funds through a Chevy vehicle giveaway-fundraiser. The effort by Superior Chevrolet is part of the Chevy Youth Baseball initiative sweeping the nation from March through July 2010.

“Chevrolet has a long history with baseball at the national level. We wanted to bring that excitement and commitment to youth baseball, in the communities where our customers and their families live,” said Mike McGinley, for Superior Chevrolet. “Youth baseball has always played an important role in Merriam so we are thrilled to support our kids in a meaningful way.”

Superior Chevrolet will present Blue Valley Recreation with equipment kits complete with equipment bags, baseball buckets, dry-erase coach’s clipboards and Chevy Youth Baseball t-shirts. The sponsorship includes FREE instructional baseball clinic opportunities with the Kansas City Royals.

In addition, a one-time monetary donation check will be presented by Superior Chevrolet to Blue Valley Recreation. 25 Years of Hendrick Motorsports Dominance

Superior Chevrolet recently announced the arrival of the Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary Camaro. The 25-car production run, built by Callaway Cars, will commemorate Hendrick Motorsports' 25 year history in racing.

The car will feature an Eaton/Callaway TVS supercharger system, high flow air filtration system, low restriction exhaust system, and recalibrated engine management software. These upgrades allow the Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary Camaro to make 582 bhp at 6400 RPM! All that power is wasted, though, if the car doesn't handle - that's why it also has upgraded coil springs, shocks, anti-roll bars, and nine spoke lightweight wheels. Chevy Silverado outsells Ford F-150

Numbers speak for themselves. General Motors, which is on the path of reinvention radiated positive signs in the month of June with its light-duty truck Chevrolet Silverado outselling Ford F-150 by a tally of 119,959 units to 107,778. With the rise in sales, the light-duty Chevy's market share rose from 31.5 percent to 32.4 percent.

However, Ford will retain the “Best Selling Pickup Line in America” title as the entire F-Series line (including the F-150, F-, and F-350) account for more sales at 173,646 units as compared to Silverado’s 149,949 units.

The upgraded powertrain makes Silverado the best vehicle in its class. The new 6.2-liter V-8 engine produces 403-horsepower with 417 pounds-feet of torque, making it the most powerful light-duty truck in the market.

Now the new General Motors, which has emerged from bankruptcy protection, will instill confidence into the American consumers and Silverado in all probability rule the segment in the years to come.

2008 Chevy Cobalt makes 36 MPG

The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt comes at an affordable price tag, seats up to five adults, and delivers a smooth ride. Use CARS for new cars

Considering trading in your vehicle? The CARS is basically a $1 billion government program through which the consumers can get a $3,500 or $4,500 discount from the dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and buy or lease a new one. Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date

The race will be held at 7:00PM Eastern, and is being broadcast on HBO pay-per-view. The race is a charity event, with HBO proceeds being donated to 4 different military charities: Wounded Warrior Project, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Operation Homefront, and Fisher House.
