2008 Chevy Silverado: Highest Ranked Pickup in Initial Quality Study
The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is ranked the highest in the large pickup segment of the 2008 Initial Quality Study conducted by J.D. Power and Associates. Chevrolet Silverado had the least number of problems per 100 vehicles among large pickups in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Initial Quality Study, based on responses from 81,530 new-vehicle owners, after examining 344 models and opinions after 90 days of ownership. Following its 2007 redesign too, the Silverado 1500 picked up a number of awards, including Car and Driver's "Best Pickup," Motor Trend's "Truck of the Year," and Motor Week's "Driver's Choice."
