2008 Chevy Cobalt makes 36 MPG

The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt comes at an affordable price tag, seats up to five adults, and delivers a smooth ride. Road and Track magazine calls the 2008 Cobalt, "a thoroughly modern, class-challenging contender," in the affordable small car class. Though the Chevy Cobalt does not match the performance and comfort of other compact 2-door coupes, it compensates with its high MPG of 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway (5-speed manual) and sporty driving manners.
The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt is a carryover model from 2007, which comes as a 2.4L supercharged two-door coupe or the 2.2L ECOTEC powered 4-door sedan. The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt XFE is a new option package designed to offer improved fuel economy. Manual-transmission Cobalt LS and LT models come with the XFE package, which includes specific tires and powertrain tweaks designed to improve fuel economy. The XFE package is not available on Cobalts equipped with the 2LT option package.
Standard equipment includes AM/FM/CD/MP3 player, digital-media player connection, satellite radio, air conditioning, interior air filter, tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, height-adjustable driver seat, center console, split folding rear seat with trunk pass-through, variable-intermittent wipers, rear defogger and automatic headlights.
