Chevy enthusiasts gathered in large numbers for the second Midwest appearance of the touring series at Heartland Park Topeka. The response was especially good since it coincided with Father's Day weekend. The Kansas Super Chevy Show boasted of super prop and pro bracket racing, exhibition runs, the Chevy car show and swap meet. New additions were also featured like an autocross and Elvis Night with two skydiving performances. Superior Chevrolet Vice President and Executive General Manager Mike McGinley said that "We're honored to be teamed with another world class operation at Heartland Park for a spectacular event".
Rick Hendrick's Superior Chevrolet launched the new "Hendrick Performance Division" and also had an attractive display of 2010 Camaros and 2010 Callaway Corvettes. For the first time in nearly 10 years, the Super Chevy Show, sponsored by Rick Hendrick’s Superior Chevrolet, is making its return to Heartland Park Topeka on Father’s Day weekend, June 18-20, 2010. Racing activity at the world-class facility will include Pro Mods, wheel standers running the quarter-mile on their rear wheels, car show, swap meet, and some of the fastest Jet Car drivers in the country.
Customer Savings
All Superior Chevrolet customers can save $10 off the Car Corral, Show-n-Shine and autocross registration with the code “SUPERIOR” when calling 785-862-4781. Superior Chevrolet customers need to register over the phone by no later than Tuesday, June 13.

First 2011 Corvette model marks 50 years of Chevrolet’s first Le Mans win
The year 2010 marks fifty years of Chevrolet’s class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 1960 Briggs Cunningham Corvette. General Motors has decided to commemorate the occasion by swaddling the very first 2011 Corvette model in the same livery worn by the champion five years ago. Superior Chevrolet Goes To Bat for Blue Valley Recreation as Part of Chevy Youth Baseball Initiative Sweeping Nation
Superior Chevrolet to provide Blue Valley Recreation with new equipment, monetary donation, instructional clinics; Additional funds via Chevy Vehicle Giveaway
Merriam (May 7, 2010) – Superior Chevrolet announced today it will be investing support in Merriam through a partnership with Blue Valley Recreation. Superior Chevrolet will provide baseball equipment, instructional clinics, a monetary donation, and an opportunity to raise an additional $10,000 in funds through a Chevy vehicle giveaway-fundraiser. The effort by Superior Chevrolet is part of the Chevy Youth Baseball initiative sweeping the nation from March through July 2010.
“Chevrolet has a long history with baseball at the national level. We wanted to bring that excitement and commitment to youth baseball, in the communities where our customers and their families live,” said Mike McGinley, for Superior Chevrolet. “Youth baseball has always played an important role in Merriam so we are thrilled to support our kids in a meaningful way.”
Superior Chevrolet will present Blue Valley Recreation with equipment kits complete with equipment bags, baseball buckets, dry-erase coach’s clipboards and Chevy Youth Baseball t-shirts. The sponsorship includes FREE instructional baseball clinic opportunities with the Kansas City Royals.
In addition, a one-time monetary donation check will be presented by Superior Chevrolet to Blue Valley Recreation. The team also will have an opportunity to raise additional funds for their use as part of a Chevy Youth Baseball Fundraiser. Sponsored leagues across the country will each receive 2,000 fundraiser entry tickets to distribute for a suggested donation, and the league will keep 100% of proceeds raised. At the end of the fundraiser, there will be five winners of a Chevy Equinox or Chevy Malibu vehicle of choice (up to $30,000 in value), and in each participating market there will be a secondary prize of a home entertainment center valued at $1,000.
Chevrolet is recognized on the national level as the “Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball.” “At some point, we hope the kids or their parents will consider a Chevrolet as an official vehicle of their household,” said McGinley. “Our vehicles are ideal for transporting families, teams and their gear.”
Chevrolet has expanded its support of MLB to the youth baseball players in communities across the country through the Chevy Youth Baseball program. The Chevy Youth Baseball program began in Atlanta in 2006. Now in its fifth season, the grass roots initiative has activation in more than 20 states and seeks to establish a positive connection between local dealers and the communities they serve. Since its beginning, more than $7 million dollars has been raised by Chevy for community youth baseball leagues.

25 Years of Hendrick Motorsports Dominance
Superior Chevrolet recently announced the arrival of the Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary Camaro. The 25-car production run, built by Callaway Cars, will commemorate Hendrick Motorsports' 25 year history in racing.
The car will feature an Eaton/Callaway TVS supercharger system, high flow air filtration system, low restriction exhaust system, and recalibrated engine management software. 25 Years of Hendrick Motorsports DominanceSuperior Chevrolet recently announced the arrival of the Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary Camaro. The 25-car production run, built by Callaway Cars, will commemorate Hendrick Motorsports' 25 year history in racing.
The car will feature an Eaton/Callaway TVS supercharger system, high flow air filtration system, low restriction exhaust system, and recalibrated engine management software.
